Chili Bowl 2008 Saturday Photos from our camera, cell phone or were e-mailed to me |
The 8j sits ready for action Saturday morning. I had already hot lapped the 0k everything felt good except my right knee which had swollen after Friday nights events. So I decided to park the 0k and focus on our efforts with Jason. |
Linda took this shot from the back grand stands. Jason waits to be pushed off for the E main in which he finished 2nd. |
At speed during the E main event...the car's a blue blurr. |
The crews gather on the ramp as they get ready to start the 2nd D main Saturday. If you look close you can see the LOK crew in our blue shirts. |
After starting in the back of the 2nd D main Jason started passing cars. Here he's passing Darrin Bolton from California. That's Ricky Stenhouse behind Jason who also transferred from the E main. |
Jason passes Randy Pricket from California as he ran from 15th to 6th place, just missing the 5th place transfer shot by 6 inches! Young Justin Grant was 5th and he & Jason had a great battle for that spot running each other clean & hard. We were proud of both of them. |
Linda comes back from a walk of the Expo center. After a long week in Tulsa she was off early in the morning getting Bobby D. and herself to the airport for flights to the west coast. |
Bobby, Linda, and I watched the A-main from the top of our trailer, looking at the big screen TV. |
Our plan was to roll the cars out at the beginning and roll them back in again afterward. We did. We only had minor damage to both cars and hope to run some PowrI shows this season when we aren't running the sprinters. If things go right we may run Tulsa again next January...we'll see. |
